FAQ – Automotive Window Tinting

Everything you need to know before tinting your car with 39 Window Tint.

Q1. What services do you offer for cars?

We specialize in professional automotive window tinting, including:

  • Full vehicle tint

  • Front door windows only

  • Windshield sun strip (visor strip)

  • Tint removal and re-tint

Q2. How long does it take to tint my car?

Timing depends on the vehicle and how many windows we’re tinting, but typically:

  • Full car: about 1.5 to 3 hours (varies by vehicle and film type)

  • Front doors or small areas: usually under 1 hour

We’ll give you a more accurate estimate when you book your appointment.

Q3. How much does car window tinting cost?

Pricing depends on:

  • Vehicle type (sedan, SUV, truck, etc.)

  • How many windows you want tinted

  • The film you choose (standard vs. premium/ceramic)

For the most accurate quote, please contact us with your year, make, model and what you’d like done.

Q4. What types of tint film do you use?

We use high-quality automotive window films, including:

  • Standard or dyed film – great for privacy and appearance

  • Premium/ceramic film – helps block more heat and UV, with less signal interference and better clarity

We’ll explain the differences so you can choose the film that fits your budget and goals.

Q5. What tint shades are available?

We offer a range of shades from light to dark, so you can choose:

  • A subtle, factory-style look

  • A darker, more private appearance

  • Or something in between

We’ll also help you consider visibility and local regulations so you can make an informed choice.

Q6. Will my visibility be affected, especially at night?

Darker tints can reduce visibility, particularly at night or in low-light conditions.
We’ll help you choose a shade that balances:

  • Daytime heat and glare reduction

  • Night-time visibility

  • Your personal comfort and preferences

If you do a lot of night driving, a slightly lighter shade is often a better choice.

Q7. Is it normal to see bubbles or haze after installation?

Yes, some small bubbles or a slight hazy look can be normal right after installation.
This is usually just trapped moisture between the film and glass.

As the film dries, this moisture will evaporate and the film will lay flat and clear.
If you still see large bubbles or lifting edges after a couple of weeks, please contact us so we can check it.

Q8. How should I care for my new tint?

  • Avoid rolling your windows down for a few days after installation.

  • Do not clean the inside of the glass immediately; wait until the film has fully dried.

  • When cleaning, use a soft cloth and a non-ammonia glass cleaner.

We’ll go over specific aftercare instructions with you when your car is finished.

Q9. Can you remove old tint?

Yes. We can remove old, purple, peeling, or bubbling tint before installing new film.
The cost depends on:

  • How old the tint is

  • How strong the adhesive is

  • Whether the glass has rear defroster lines

We’ll inspect your windows and give you a quote for both removal and new tint.

Q10. Do you offer a warranty?

Yes, we offer a warranty on our tint installations based on the film you choose.
In general, the warranty may cover issues such as:

  • Peeling

  • Bubbling

  • Cracking or extreme discoloration

Warranty terms can vary by film type and manufacturer, so we’ll explain the exact coverage at the time of your appointment and provide details upon request.
